Welcome to the unabashed and often too snarky musings of a feminist not willing to settle for anything less than equality.
We gave the California Supreme Court a round of applause for that on our feminist radio show today. :)
The counselor on our study came in and announced that to us and I was so happy!
What a great decision by the members of the California Supreme Court. It is unfortunate that this could possibly be a temporary ban lift if the religious and social extremists have their way. They need to realize that the attitudes, mindset, and opinions of the citizens of this country are not what they once were, even amongst conservatives (myself included since I'm not exactly on the liberal side of the fence), and that is evident on a daily basis. Arnold Schwarzenager for example, he stated he would not support any possible challenges to the ruling, despite that he has personally vetoed two marriage-allowing laws in the past. Even my little brother (who is one of the biggest biggots and homophobes I've ever known!) said to me this morning: "I don't have a problem with that, good for them, let them live their lives." I was so proud! In any case, hopefully the extremists will not succeed!
